Part of the problem for the next two years is Trump is going to veto everything and they absolutely will not get the 10 Republicans they need to cross the party line and help them override the veto.
I agree that’s likely, but they need to make sure that they 1) DO try to pass the legislation we want them to pass and 2) Are very very vocal about it, because the oligarch/fascist owned media WILL try to downplay it. So we have to keep up the pressure on them, but also make sure people realize what’s going on.
Pass it anyway and make him veto it. Make the republicans vote against overriding the veto. Put it all on record exactly how they voted.
Well, that’s basically what I said - we agree - although the Dems don’t have enough majority to get over cloture, so they’ll have to do things like reconciliation and such. But yes, exactly. Pass what they can, put it all on record.
