It’s more useful for bypassing the inner city area, whereas this bridge is supposed to be for accessing the inner city (by which I mean the main CBD area plus neighbouring suburbs, especially Fortitude Valley). I say “supposed”, because for sure some people are using this bridge to go through the CBD from the north to the south, or vice versa.
