Over 90% of those deaths are Americans.

There’s a really bad surge in Texas right now that hit me like a truck. I’d had it a few times before, but this was by far the worst and the shortness of breath and brain fog aren’t going away this time.

Lucky you. I got that the first time I had Covid during the pandemic. I was one of the “lucky” 35% or of people that ended up with those long term effects. I still lose words in mid sentence and can’t remember what I was going to say next. The word is there in my head, and then instantly gone. It’s the worst thing in the world…

I had that. I used nicotine to recover from it. Sounds strange but it worked. Low dose nic patch, worn 24/7, for about 3 weeks.

The downside is I started vaping again (very low dose nic) but I got my brain back.

Meanwhile RFK Jr, the anti-vaxx nut job that is in charge of the HHS, is doing his damnedest to prevent the most recent version of the covid vaccine from making it to market.

I got the covid brain-fog back in 2023, it took me almost 18 months to recover. It almost felt like I was getting Alzheimers, forgetting names of everyday things.

Never tested positive for Covid over here. One cold one time in 2025, other than that I just haven’t been sick since 2019. I also had a stockpile of N95 masks before the pandemic because I was worried about a pandemic. I figured it would last about 5-10 years, and so far I have sadly been basically correct.

My husband and I still have not had it. At first we thought maybe we were just asymptomatic. Nope, I got sick and hospitalized from the vaccine with myocarditis and the doctor said if I got actual Covid I’d probably die. So my husband has masked up really thoroughly as well.

I had it only once, when I didn’t wear a mask to a work function. In like 22. My wife uses meds that makes her immunocompromised so she’s still masking. I’m not but probably should be. I do wear masks on planes and stuff

Probably, also I’m a recluse playing videogames all day not going out of my house 😂

Yeah that’s me. I tested and had it, back in January 2021, when my whole family had it. No symptoms for me. I always say I never get sick, but I’m fairly confident I’m just a disease vector at this point and I just never get symptomatic. My kids will bring stuff home from school, my wife will get it, and fortunately I’m able to just carry on.

It’s been 6 years. It’s not that weird. I got it in July of 2022, sometime in 2024, and at the very end of August this year.
