by British-American MC/producer MF Doom, released under the alias King Geedorah via Big Dada on 17 June 2003. King Geedorah is the alias MF Doom used as part of the underground super group Monsta Island Czars. The album features guest appearances from MF Grimm (as Jet-Jaguar) as well as other MIC members

Me, an elder millennial, reading that plethora of aliases I’ve never heard of:

MF DOOM had an entire mythos going with several aliases including: MF DOOM (sometimes credited as just “DOOM” like on Born Like This), King Geedorah, Vicktor Vaughn (clever play on “Victor Von Doom,” aka Dr. Doom), Metal Face, and Metal Fingers (used for production credits only, I believe). Also, can’t forget his original moniker, Zev Luv X (with his late brother in the group KMD).

Then you have his collabs like: Madvillian (DOOM + Madlib, and probably the best hip hop album ever produced - Madvilliany),

      DangerDOOM (DOOM + Danger Mouse),

DOOMStarks (DOOM + Ghostface Killah. Honestly wish there was more of this),

JJ DOOM (DOOM + Jneiro Jarel),

      NehruvianDOOM (DOOM + Bishop Nehru),

There are probably more I’m forgetting…

And all of it is top notch.

We lost a literal genius when he passed. RIP.

Ghostface being the Tony Stark to MF DOOM’s Viktor von Doom was always the sickest shit.

One of my favorite tracks with them together was on The Mouse and The Mask by DangerDOOM.

Aquaman’s pops can’t water check me\ Disrespect me (Yo), indirectly (Yo)\ I seen his feet and they both lefty, he steppin’ half correctly\ As I stroll the globe and terrorize the planet\ With a Bill Clinton mask and them Playskool hammers\ Me and DOOM, always be the best on the landing\ Superheroes for life until our souls vanish

That bolded line is one of my favorite lines ever.

I am gonna be that guy though and point out that it’s Viktor Vaughn (looking at my copy of Vaudeville Villain right now)

and probably the best hip hop album ever produced - Madvilliany

        *chefs kiss

        EDIT: Hot Guacamole

          Ugh shit I knew that.

The Mask is such a good track. GFK’s verse is so sick (and the beat is amazing).

The day I took my mask off, my face was missing for two days

For the record, G, came back a year later

Whole new identity, Tony Starks pedigree

My money green like my nickname was Celery

Edit: thanks for the link, it’s been years since I’ve listened to anything off Mm… Leftovers.

The line about how he “almost caught a case off that same shit the other day” made me lol.

The song made me think of that song Eminem did with Dre, Guilty Conscience

I’m the oldest millennial possible and it breaks my heart that you aren’t aware of the madvillainy. He got caught sending a body-double to shows, and his defense was “I’m a villain.”

I first heard him on The Herbaliser’s “Something Wicked Yhis Way Comes” on the track “It Ain’t Nuttin’”
