When I was about 10, my digestive system just kinda halted. Doctors didn’t know why; I didn’t know why. It never happened before or since. But, they had me chug like a bottle of this stuff every day. Back then, (at least where we got it), it didn’t even have the lemon flavor.

Anyway, thanks for the PTSD. (Joking… kinda)

Oh who can remember. Several days at least. Basically until I had a bowel movement. They had given me a threshold of “if you don’t go by this date come back” or something. That wasn’t needed, that’s all I remember.

Spent a week in the hospital and couldn’t leave until i pooped. Problem is when you’re pumped full of opioids that doesn’t happen.

I quit taking the oxy a couple weeks later because of that and wanting some beer.

As far as fast acting laxatives go, the lemon lime mag citrate ain’t half bad. I would recommend drinking it on the toilet though

Oh, thanks, I just read that it’s a laxative. I was more afraid that it is some kind of bathroom cleaner.
You can paint walls and floors with it though - a useful household item!

Idk what was said, but it must’ve been pretty good if a .world moderator removed it.

            Boring bastards.

I don’t think I personally would have removed this (I was thinking about it before the explanation was posted but decided against it after it was). But I think the other mod who did had a point. Before removal that comment had -21 votes so it’s clear most people did not get or approve of the joke either.

While I don’t think it’s xenophobic, I do think it might encurage harmfull behavior (i.e. some edgy kid actually doing what the comment suggested). Combined with the poor reception of the joke I think the removal was justified. And even if it wasn’t it’s not nice to call the removing mod a bastard.

They have a thing called hand cheese in Germany. It’s a relatively hard and mild cheese with high protein and low fat, so it doesn’t melt easily and is good plain as a snack. Anyway, you’re not supposed to just eat it straight from your hand.

Signed- a dumb foreign exchange student.

you’re not supposed to just eat it straight from your hand.

Eating customs are a hit different than just actually ingesting a bottle of laxative. Eating customs also aren’t stated on a product.

Whereas this is clearly labeled “magnesium citrate”. My point being that while some American kids might not pay attention to what it says on the label, it’d make sense that a foreign exchange student would read the label and know what magnesium citrate is, or at least realise it’s medicine of some sorts. Seeing as they’re students, in an exchange program, they probably know the language somewhat.

So I standby what I said.

Your example is more akin to eating pizza with a knife and fork in Italy rather than chugging a bottle of laxative by accident.

You need to eat something first.

Magnesium Citrate is the best form of magnesium because in that form it is most easily absorbed by the body. It helps with mood and sleep disorders, and is necessary for heart function and bone density.

Try it in sold pill form if you still can’t stomach it even after a meal.
